Mount Pleasant neighbours got together to get rid of their extra stuff and make room for summer living.The 2nd annual community yard sale was a huge success! More than 20 different households participated by clearing out their storage rooms, garages, and the backs of their closets to bring gently loved treasures to their front yards.
Pulling together and taken advantage of the promotion and communal attention meant lot's of shoppers went home with new to them goodies.
Buyers and sellers of all ages enjoyed the opportunity to browse and socialize. Some young entrepreneurs even provided refreshments for the hungry shoppers.
All left over items were picked up by the Developmental Disabilities Association to benefit others instead of going back into storage.
